Plymouth City Council’s Low Carbon City Team is responsible for promoting and delivering plans and projects that will shape Plymouth’s ability to secure radical reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and provide resilience to the impacts of climate change. The primary focus of the team is: • Facilitating projects and coordinating action on climate change, fuel poverty, renewable energy & energy efficiency • Providing services to Plymouth Energy Community • Providing specialist input and advice to strategic planning and planning applications, • Providing a centre of excellence for sustainability, climate change and low carbon policy and projects We are currently looking for a self-motivated and highly organized individual with a strong background in energy and /or environmental projects & partnerships. You will be responsible for: • Scoping and development of new projects and programmes, including building partnerships across a diverse range of sectors to enable this. • Coordinating the delivery of a number of existing EU Interreg funded programmes To do this we will be looking for candidates that can: • Use their extensive knowledge around climate change and the low carbon transition to further team reputation for innovation and action in this space. • Demonstrate a track record of innovation, the management of EU projects and successfully securing external funding If you think you can make your mark by working closely with partners to enable low carbon solutions we would welcome your application.
